We attended a party and it was so awesome because most of the guests are either musicians or musicians friends. I say it was a fun party because everyone is so game to perform and everyone had a blast. I don’t remember having so much fun at a party especially when the kids aren’t with us. I think we should do it more often, attend adult events and be crazy adults once in a while.

Al Capone
Saturday, March 01, 2014
I posted this in my IG:
The last of six Al Capones Ane bought yesterday. This is our favorite variant among J Co. doughnuts! Funny how we finished the 6 pieces in just a day! Super yummy. Ane said, next time, he’ll buy 10 Al Capones in a dozen instead of just six. Can’t wait!

Perfomer in the making
Tuesday, January 28, 2014
I am quite amazed by how much K has bloomed in just a year (I need to blog about that in the main site). I think she's gotten out of her shell and now, she's overcome some of her anxieties that are normal to small kids. She wants to perform (on her birthday) and even asked for an instrument. Anyway, I asked Teacher She if it would be okay to spare K a few minutes (even just seconds!), and she said it's fine. Gotta record that one!

Apricot Seeds
Wednesday, January 15, 2014
As I was doing my usual internet rounds, I read something about apricot seeds. They say apricot seeds (and almonds, hubby’s favorite nuts) are rich in vitamin B17 or laetrile. I am not sure if I heard B17 before now & its effect on the body so I went ahead and read some more. Well, they say some cancer patients take apricot kernels as an alternative cure (the site I saw where one can find best apricot kernels here isn't claiming anything though). Some eat these seeds also because they say it can prevent cancer too. This is all new to me, I don’t know if I should believe it now. Maybe in the next few years, the veracity of the claims will be all over the news.

Getting ready for Wicked
Monday, January 13, 2014
In less than one month, my friends and I will watch Wicked the Musical. I just finished the book version and knowing now how the story goes, I got more excited to watch it.
I must admit that before reading the book, the only thing I know about the musical is the song Defying Gravity and the raves I hear & read from people who’ve already seen it abroad. I was planning to start listening to the songs after reading but I decided to continue my Wicked journey by reading the second book instead. I will just let the musical surprise me with the songs. ;)

New Year, New Renovations
Saturday, January 11, 2014
For some families, the new year means making some changes in and around the house too. Imagine the amount of push-pull knobs purchased online and in-stores at the beginning of the year, not to mention other stuff needed for minor and/or major renovations? Since we just moved before the holidays, we’re not doing the same for now *insert sigh of relief here* We didn’t even have to spend for cleaning materials yet because we still have stocks.
How about you? What are your plans for your house this month and in the coming months?

Nine Days
Monday, December 16, 2013
It’s just nine more days before Christmas and I can’t feel the season yet. Just this morning on the way to school, K asked if we could decorate the house. She plans on putting a snowman and a tree (Nanay, let’s put a small tree only because a bog one can’t fit our condo…). I just didn’t have the heart to tell her that nope, I’m not in the mood to decorate anymore, so I told her to ask Tatay later. I know Christmas is for Jesus, and I am guilty for feeling this way, so I hope my mood will change before the weekend. I owe it to my kids to be happy.

Talent
Thursday, December 05, 2013
In one of my FB groups, this was asked: “If you can request God for a talent, what is it?”
I replied and said, “I’ve always wanted to learn how to play an instrument.” It’s my frustration. I never learned to play the piano, because I’m impatient to learn the basics, LOL. Maybe I should have prayed for more patience eh? Anyway, the thread starter replied to me. She said she wants that too but will just probably convince her kids to do it. Well, that’s my plan also. I’ve been convincing K to like the violin but for now, she’s interested in the xylophone and once she told me she wants the flute and drums too. The drums, that’s not feasible at the moment so perhaps a beginner flute will do for now? Maybe she’ll want that for Christmas.

Part-timer
Monday, December 02, 2013
I’m back writing articles for clients. But only as a part-timer. Now that I’m a fulltime stay-at-home-mom, I only get to work for a few hours. I am not complaining though. The little money that I earn helps anyway. I am happy that I get to choose which topics to work on. I sometimes accept topics that are challenging, those that I need to research on first. And I learn, which is good. Just the other day, I had to write about heroin addiction and rehab. Thankfully, I have no one close to me who is addicted to this substance or any other drugs, but writing about it made me understand individuals and families who had to go through that ordeal.
Anyway, yeah. Life is kinda busy these days; my hands are full with the girls and Ane, the house, and my work. I’ll try to drop by here as often as I could.
