Pang-ilang Presidente ng Amerika si Lincoln?

I know, I know. There is no direct translation for this. But how do you ask a 5-year old kid this question?

Joaquin surprised his mom by saying "Lincoln is the 16th President of America." Apparently, they now study the presidents in school. We talked to Joaquin this morning and my sister was happy to announce the kid's new knowledge. But how do we prompt him to say what he knows?! Hehe.

La lang. Just sharing :)

And can I just say that he's so into history nowadays that he currently reads a History book for Fifth graders. LOL! Smart kid, eh? :)

Starting him young :)

My brother in-law is such a golf fanatic (and so is his dad). So it is just normal that his son, my nephew J, is learning the sport at an early age. My sister supports this hobby too. This picture was taken at Pebble Beach in Monterey where Tiger Woods used to play golf.

Last I heard, the kid already has his own golf clubs (I'll have to ask if they're Nike golf clubs because I've seen a set like this on the net, and they're impressive, looking so nice and neat) set given to him by his grandpa. And this early, his swing is above average for his age.

Move over, Tiger! :)

Strike!

Wednesday, November 07, 2007

Look at how expressive this little boy is. This shot was taken by Ane after J and his mom hit a strike in a bowling game (not fair though, coz they had blockers on each side! Hehe). We were celebrating his 4th birthday at that time, in June. Oh well, he's trained to show his real emotions, and that's precisely the reason he can easily make us go insane. Hehe.

Anyway, Ane entered this in their company's Photo of the Month contest (for October), the theme of which is "Emotions". Ane texted me this morning that he won 1st runner up, yayayayyyy!!! He's getting a certificate for 50 4R prints plus p1k worth of photo accessories. We didn't expect him to win at all, because we saw all the other entries and a lot are better than this shot. He entered this in a beginner's level, by the way.

Participants voted on who should win, and Ane got enough votes to land second. It must be J's expression that can be felt just by looking at him, don't you think so too? Oh, I should remember to scrap this one! :)
