Chasing dreams

Sunday, November 11, 2007

I saw myself standing inside the commissary's office in Laguna. I was waiting for the girls to turn-over our stocks order but I was ignored. I didn't remember how I got there. I didn't even remember me paying the toll at SLEX and surrendering my ID at the village guard.

In a snap, I was around a group of people and they were talking about how I never made it to Laguna because I met an accident. I was dead.

Scary, huh. I tried to go back to sleep and chase more dreams, pleasant dreams but I half-opened my eyes and saw that it was already lunchtime. I sent Hun a message and he said I'm probably just thinking about the accident a former Senator met, where his wife died. :(

Invitations and Announcements

Thursday, August 16, 2007

Part of what I wanna do nowadays (but haven't done so much) is to design invitations, banners, etc. I did Joaquin's birthday invite as well as his Thank you card back in June, everyone liked what I did. Now, Mommy C is requesting that I make a banner for her. Honestly, my mojo is so lost. I haven't done much digiscrapping lately considering that I should already start on our US trip album. I have a wedding album to layout as soon as possible. I also received an email a few days back from our friend who was more than honest to say that he can't finish our wedding album either. So that is something I need to think about, too!

Going into desktop publishing is something I'm contemplating on. I already know whom to ask for suppliers of printers. I would want a good quality for my output right? Someday soon, I'd like to be known as the designer who makes wonderful tarpaulins, shower invites, birth announcements, banners, among others.

But for now, I need to get back on track. I actually need to get a life. Hehe.

Beach house

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

I never imagined living near the sea or any other body of water. But everytime I go to the beach, I feel peaceful within. Watching the horizon at sunset is perfect. The love of the waters is but temporary for me for after a few days of staying on the beach, I realize again and again that I will never be a water person. It has something to do with part of my childhood when I was told I am not allowed to go swimming ever. Anyway, if the case is otherwise and I am blessed with the money (big factor!!!) to buy a beach house, like the ones listed in the Wilmington NC real estate, I'd be more than happy to look at the beautiful properties. :)

Correct Lighting fixture makes a perfect house.

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

This I truly believe. I've gone to visit a few beautiful houses and the ones that stand out are the ones that are fitted with the right lighting pieces, even chandeliers. For me a house becomes a bit more homey with these things...not too grand but neither too simple. Hotel room lights are perfect for those cozy, cuddly nights. Someday, our own Master's bedroom will have the same ambience because of the lights :)

Now I am dreaming of OUR own house

Sunday, June 10, 2007

After mass today, we all went to Ikea to buy a few stuff. Since my sister's family just moved in to a bigger apartment, they figured they needed some new things for the house. Boy, I was in heaven just looking at the things in there! Our future house became so clear in my mind. I can't count how many times I told Ane how excited I am when we finally build our own and fill it with various fixtures and furniture :) I was more excited because yesterday, we visited a model-house near 101 and realized that such design is perfect for us, small yet maximized in terms of area!

Back in the Phils, we are staying in a studio-type pad above my in-laws'. In a few years, we plan to build our home on a small parcel of land we already own. Last year, we asked my FIL (since he is in construction) how much it would cost us to build a house. He said around P10k/sqm, no furnishings yet. Whoa!

So now, I am back to dreaming. Just dreaming. Today, I had fun collecting Ikea catalogues. Nice to look at, really. But that is where my reality struck...that we can't afford a fully-furnished house. Not at this time. Not yet.

But I am sure we will get there ;)
